Plasma Directed Electron Beam Technology™

Synergy between nitric oxide and electrons, revolutionizing industries and innovating possibilities

PDEB™ Overview

PDEB™ technology deploys a column of nonthermal plasma to deliver a focused beam of electrons and pure NO on demand – an innovative benchmark that presents a viable therapeutic option to noninvasively treat biotic and abiotic surfaces.

Stability

Use of high electric potential results in continuous and stable energy that is more predictable and consistently energetic.

Improved NO Production

Generates sustainable levels of NO on-demand and in high yield

Easy to Power

Designed to operate within the voltage and amperage limits of a typical residential or commercial electrical circuit (120V single phase, 15 amp).

PDEB™ Handheld Device

PDEB™ technology is the basis of a handheld device that delivers a focused beam of electrons and pure NO – an innovative benchmark that presents a viable therapeutic option to noninvasively treat biotic and abiotic surfaces. It is equipped with quick-change nozzles, adaptable to accommodate the geometry of various treatment sites.

Product Features

  • Equipped with quick-change nozzles, adaptable to accommodate the geometry and environment of various treatment sites.

  • Efficiently ionizes the gas stream resulting in tunable levels of NO while limiting the production of unfavorable gasses including nitrogen dioxide (NO2), hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and ozone (O3).

  • Can be used at 3mm distance from the target, enabling contactless delivery providing a non-invasive mode of treatment.

Product Applications

Sterilization & Disinfection
Nonthermal plasma has demonstrated effective antimicrobial properties, eliminating bacteria, fungi, spores, viruses, and prions without high temperatures or harmful chemicals. This makes it a promising tool for sterilizing and disinfecting medical instruments, surfaces, and air in healthcare settings. Nitric oxide, a naturally occurring gas in the body, also has strong antimicrobial effects, and its generation through nonthermal plasma further enhances the disinfection process.
Biomedical Applications
Nonthermal plasma can stimulate cell growth and enhance drug delivery systems, which has potential implications in tissue engineering, wound healing, and regenerative medicine. Nitric oxide is known to facilitate wound healing and has selective toxicity towards cancer cells, which could be leveraged for targeted cancer therapies.
Food Processing

Nonthermal plasma helps maintain the quality and nutritional value of food by controlling spoilage organisms and delaying enzymatic reactions, without altering the taste or nutritional value of the food. It also enables modification of food surfaces for better coating adhesion and reduces contamination risks. Nitric oxide generated from nonthermal plasma can be used as a preservative and antioxidant, inhibiting the growth of bacteria to extend shelf life and maintain the quality of food products.

PDEB™ NO Generator

NO generators are a viable alternative to expensive and unstable cylinders as sources of nitric oxide. However, those relying on the reduction of NO2 or pulse discharge, have poor NO production efficiency and release toxic byproducts. Subsequent platforms have successfully used radiofrequency (RF)-generated nonthermal plasma to create reactive species leading to NO production, although the indiscriminate production of undesirable NO2, H2O2, and O3 has presented challenges. Our proprietary technology builds upon the advantages of this technology, using a column of plasma to guide an electromagnetic wave, generating scalable levels of NO on-demand and in an eco-friendly manner without the need of high-turnover consumables.

Product Features

  • Offers a dynamic output range of on-demand NO that can be scaled up for industrial-scale production, suitable for diverse agricultural, industrial, and medicinal applications.
  • Efficiently ionizes the gas stream via voltage oscillating RF

  • Limits the production of unfavorable gasses including nitrogen dioxide (NO2), hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and ozone (O3).

Product Applications

Acute Care
Nitric oxide is used therapeutically for conditions like neonatal respiratory distress syndrome and pulmonary hypertension due to its vasodilation properties, meaning it can widen blood vessels and increase blood flow. Nonthermal plasma devices can produce nitric oxide on-site, providing a controlled, reliable source for acute care settings.
Pharmaceuticals and Supplements

The ability to generate nitric oxide through nonthermal plasma can streamline the production of drugs and supplements. This efficient and cost-effective method can be employed in research and development, synthesis of clinically relevant compounds, and in the large-scale manufacturing of pharmaceutical products.

Agriculture and Horticulture

Nonthermal plasma and nitric oxide can positively influence plant growth and development, influencing processes like seed germination, root development, and stress response/tolerance. Nonthermal plasma’s antimicrobial properties can also be employed to disinfect seeds, and control plant diseases, aiding in the overall health and productivity of crops.
